Judicial Board
Purpose of the Judicial Board
The IFC Judicial Board will serve as the judicial branch of the Interfraternity Council. The IFC Judicial Board has the power to interpret and enforce IFC policies, rules, and regulations in accordance with the IFC Constitution, Bylaws, Judicial Board operating procedures, and Florida State University’s Student and Student Organization Conduct Code. The rulings reached by the IFC Judicial Board are superseded by the rulings of the Florida State University’s Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards, as well as the rulings of any local, state, and federal courts.
Philosophy of the Judicial Board
The IFC at Florida State University is the governing body of 20 men’s fraternities on campus. The Judicial Board is put in place in order to promote and support peer-to-peer governance and accountability across all 20 IFC member and associate member organizations. The Judicial Board will also further policy and risk management education amongst IFC men in order to ensure a safer environment.
Josh B. | CHIEF JUSTICE, IFC EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Josh Benalcazar is a member of the Chi Phi fraternity and is from Tampa, Florida. He is a junior studying Political Science and Business Management, serving as Chief Justice of the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Josh is involved as the Vice President of the FSU Senior Class Council, the Vice Chair of Programming for Legacy at FSU, the Vice President of Membership for Order of Omega, and a member of Garnet and Gold Key Honor Society. He believes in upholding Florida State fraternities to their commitment to scholarship, service, leadership, and brotherhood through the judicial process and risk management policy.
Ty C. | CLERK, IFC DIRECTOR OF EVENT MANAGEMENT
Ty Clarke is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and is from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He is a junior studying criminology and serves as the Clerk of the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Ty is the Intramural chair of SigEp and has been a part of the rush committee. Previously, Ty has served as a rush captain and is currently a part of the IFC Risk Management Council. Michael B. | JUSTICE
Michael Barshack is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and is from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is a junior studying finance and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Michael previously served as an IFC Rush Mentor and the Greek Life Coordinator for Chabad. He believes in upholding values of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love.
Sebastian C. | JUSTICE
Sebastian Consuegra is a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and is from Jacksonville, Florida. He is a junior studying Risk Management & Insurance and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Sebastian has served as the IFC Director for Light the Night, a writer for the FSU Law Review, and is a member of Order of Omega. He believes in upholding values of character and leadership.
Josh G. | JUSTICE
Josh Gabay is a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and is from St. Pete, Florida. He is a junior studying Commercial Entrepreneurship and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Josh has previous experience in the insurance and printing industry, and interpreting IFC bylaws. He believes in upholding values of integrity, accountability, loyalty, and fairness.
Thomas O. | JUSTICE
Thomas O’Connell is a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity and is from Jupiter, Florida. He is a junior studying Criminal Justice and Psychology, and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Thomas is the standards chair for Alpha Delt. He believes in upholding the values of honesty and integrity within IFC.
Carter P. | JUSTICE
Carter Phillips is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and is from Orlando, FL. He is a sophomore studying Finance and Applied Mathematics and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Carter served on the Leadership Council for Seminole Student Boosters. He believes in upholding the values of leadership and scholarship in fraternities through IFC.
Will S. | JUSTICE
Will Seibert is on the Executive Board of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and is from Palm Harbor, Florida. He is a freshman studying Finance and serves as a justice on the IFC Judicial Board. Additionally, Will is actively involved across campus as a Union Board Representative in the Student Government Association, a recruitment chair for Seminole Student Boosters, and the House Manager for KA. He believes in upholding values of accountability, integrity, leadership, and fairness while working to represent and advocate for the fraternities through IFC.
